Privacy Policy

mrkt beater is a low-fee marketplace for resellers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. Short version: we collect what we need to run the platform, we don't sell it, and you can delete it.

1. What we collect.

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you sign up.
• Listing data: product titles, descriptions, prices, photos, and GTINs you submit.
• Payment information: we use Stripe to process payments and handle payouts. We do not store your card number or bank account details — Stripe does. We receive transaction metadata (amount, date, item) to operate the platform.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, browser type, IP address, and device identifiers. Standard server logs.

2. What we do with it.

• Run the marketplace: show your products, process transactions, pay you out, send order confirmations.
• Submit to Google Shopping: your product data (title, price, photos, GTIN, condition) is sent to Google's Merchant Center so buyers can find you in search.
• Communicate with you: transactional emails (order updates, payout confirmations). No marketing emails unless you opt in.
• Improve the product: aggregate, anonymized usage data helps us understand what's working.

3. Who we share it with.

• Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Google — listing data submitted to Google Shopping so your items appear in search results.
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.
• We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

4. Cookies.

• We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to understand how the site is used.
• We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

5. Your data, your rights.

• You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings.
• You can request a full export of your data by emailing us.
• If you delete your account, your listings are removed and your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by law.

6. Security.

• We use HTTPS everywhere. Passwords are hashed. Sensitive data is encrypted at rest.
• We limit employee access to user data to what's necessary to operate the platform.
• No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach that affects you, we'll notify you promptly.

7. Children.

mrkt beater is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes.

We'll update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be emailed to registered users before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
